Vial tip: Do not allow the tip of the vial to touch the eye or any surface, as this may contaminate the solution. Also, you should not touch the vial tip to your eye to avoid the potential for injury to the eye.1
Contact lenses: CEQUA should not be administered while wearing contact lenses. If you wear contact lenses, remove them before you administer CEQUA. You can put your contact lenses back in 15 minutes after administration of your CEQUA drops.1
Artificial tears: You can continue to use artificial tears as long as you wait at least 15 minutes after administration of your CEQUA drops.1
How long should I use CEQUA?
You should always follow your eye doctor’s instructions and keep using CEQUA for as long as he or she recommends. Remember, dry eye disease is a serious condition that can require long-term and consistent treatment to get the best results.2
If you are having trouble using your CEQUA as prescribed, talk to your eye doctor. He or she may have useful administration tips.
